Buddy Guy Live in Chicago Photo Gallery

By: Bill Bronson

Chicago has long been a city that is known for its wind, deep dish pizza and of course, the Blues. While there have been many great players over the years that have put the town’s music scene on the map, few have done more to define the Chicago Blues sound than Buddy Guy. The veteran bluesman has been honing his skills for more than 50 years on the Chicago scene, and he sounds as fresh and energetic today as he did back in 1957 when he first moved to the Second City.

Guy recently played a series of shows in his adopted hometown, and Guitar International photographer extraordinaire Bill Bronson was on the scene to grab some great pics of Buddy Guy and his band. Check them out, and if you ever get a chance to see Buddy live take it, he puts on one hell of a show.

We should also mention that these were  taken at the second of Buddy’s annual January residency, he’ll be playing 4 nights a week at his Chicago club until the end of January.
