Three interesting interviews and product features from Summer NAMM 2010
With a bit of luck, and some good timing, Guitar International was able to catch an exclusive and absolutely amazing performance by Australian guitarist Adam Miller. Playing a Cole Clark guitar, Miller’s performance was one of the best, if not the best, we witnessed at this year’s Summer NAMM. I’m not sure if there’s something in the water Down Under, but they seem to produce some of the best finger-style guitarists around, including the legendary Tommy Emmanuel.
Soulhouse Sound’s Karan Andrea and guitarist extraordinaire Ed Supple were at Summer NAMM to showcase their new video, Guitar Player Wanted Singing a Plus. Situated in a long row of rectangle-shaped booths, Soulhouse Sound stood out among its neighbors as the sweet riffs of Supple’s guitar floated over the crowd. If you’re a guitarist looking to become a better singer, or you want to learn to sing in a healthier manner then check out their DVD, it’s worth a watch.
As part of their continued support of musicians everywhere MusiCares was holding an auction in the lobby of Summer NAMM to raise fund for those people who were effected by the Nashville flood of 2010. With a wide range of very cool auction items, generously donated by many of the companies at the conference, we all hope that the auction was a success.
