Summer NAMM 2010: Taylor Guitars

Perennial favorites Taylor Guitars were a significant exhibitor at the 2010 Summer NAMM conference. Not only did the company showcase a room full of their current models, including the intriguing Baritone 8-String guitar, Bob Taylor and company brought out three new products to premier in their display. The first new product that Taylor rolled out was the GS-Mini guitar, which is a 3/4 sized acoustic guitar with optional ES-Go Mini Pick Up, which was also debuted by the company. The guitar is designed to provide a full sound within the context of a smaller-bodied instrument, and if you check out the video below you can hear the tone and sound that this parlor guitar produces. The ES-Go pick up is an optional add-on to the GS-Mini guitar, and is easily installed by the player without any soldering or hassle. As well, Taylor showcased its new V-Cable, which allows players to adjust the volume on their guitar right from the plug-end of the cable, a nifty invention to say the least.

Make sure to view GI’s exclusive interview with Bob Taylor as he demonstrates these three new Taylor products, there’s no better person to describe these new releases than Bob himself.
