NAMM Show 2011 Quotes: Chuck Garric, Mike Wilton, Mike Inez, Dweezil Zappa, Kerry King, Tom Peterson and Henry Rollins

During the 2011 NAMM show in Anaheim, Guitar International staff photographer and writer Rob Cavuoto was roaming the showroom floors, scanning the booths for your favorite guitarist to grab a quick pic and ask them what they’re working on at the moment. Here are Rob’s quick-stop interviews with some of the biggest names in the business.

Mike: I’m recording the guitars as we speak, and just took a break to come out to NAMM.

Robert: How would you classify the new CD, will it be hard rock or more alternative?

Mike: No allowed to say just yet.

Robert: What has AIC been up to since the tour ended?

Mike: We are going to take a much needed break. We did about 30 countries on this last tour, and then will start recording a new CD in the summer time. I’m going to reacquaint myself with my wife. [Laughing]

Robert: What’s next on the horizon for you?

Dweezil: Hopefully we’re going to go back out on tour in the summer and fall as well. We’re going to do a tour with a “legendary band” that’s reforming.

Robert: Could it be Van Halen?

Dweezil: No, I can’t say who just yet, but that would be awesome though!

Robert: Have you jammed with Eddie recently?

Dweezil: I saw him a few months back and we sat down a played a bit, it was cool.

Henry: I’m working on documentaries for National Geographic, a photo book is coming out in November 2011 and a travel book coming out 2012.
