Guitar International and HP Newquist Team Up to Re-Release Vintage Articles

August 19, 2010 – Reston, Virginia – Guitar International has released a series of re-issued interviews and articles by HP Newquist, Director of the National GUITAR Museum, that include vintage interviews with Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Dimebag Darrell (Pantera), Steve Howe (Yes), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Ace Frehley (Kiss), Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains) and many more top guitarists.

First appearing in, GUITAR Magazine, when Newquist was the Editor-in-Chief, the series is a virtual time machine, with interviews that take us back to the days when the term “Guitar Hero” had nothing to do with video games.

While working on his latest venture, the National GUITAR Museum, HP generously allowed GI to re-issue these pieces and in a manner that feeds a new generation of guitar enthusiasts around the globe with deep insights into the world of guitar during past decades.

“Newquist is what I’d call a renaissance man who has met with the top performers in the world, but has also authored a diverse set of books including the award winning, The Great Brain Book: An Inside Look At The Inside Of Your Head. We couldn’t be more pleased to offer up these high caliber interviews and articles by HP and are looking forward for his National GUITAR Museum exhibit to tour the country in 2011. The NGM is the first museum, that I’m aware of, that is fully dedicated to the evolution and cultural impact of our readers favorite instrument, the guitar.” noted Rick Landers, Publisher, Guitar International.
