I started playing guitar in 1982, right as the booming invention of Floyd Rose trems were making a big splash on the market. I was mesmerized with players like, Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Tom Shultz, and many others. As a blooming guitar player growing up in the '80s in a small west Michigan town, mostly relying on tourism for visitors, there weren't many qualified guitar techs or repairmen available, especially for floating tremolo guitars.
