Bio
A native of Iowa, Christopher began his musical career with the Clarinet. At 14 years old, inspired by Black Sabbath and Metallica, Chris took up the guitar.
He began his guitar education with Scott Dalziel, and his interests soon expanded to include jazz and improvisation. His musical studies took him to Drake University where he became interested in classical guitar.
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Drake and a Masters degree from Austin Peay State University where he studied with Stanley Yates. He has performed in masterclasses for world renowned artists such as Odair Assad and Christopher Parkening, and is currently pursuing a DMA at the University of North Texas. Chris’ performance experiences include solo classical guitar performances and work with rock, jazz, and Christian groups.
In addition to his performance activities, Christopher also maintains and writes The Classical Guitar Blog (www.classicalguitarblog.net).
