Legend, music pioneer, and amazing blue-eyed soul stylist Gregg Allman can proudly lay claim to being one of the all time great, influential, landmark artists in rock history. After some forty five years making music with his esteemed Allman Brothers Band, the ABB retired last October 2014 after playing an acclaimed slate of finale shows at New York’s Beacon Theater.

In 2017 legendary Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett embarked on his Genesis Revisited & Classic Hackett Tour. During a stop at Birmingham Symphony Hall in London of that year, Steve and his band filmed a concert for CD/DVD release entitled, Wuthering Nights: Live in Birmingham.
Fifty years since they formed, the Scorpions are still going strong. Lounging in retirement isn’t really in the cards. And, for the record, their 2010 Farwell Tour announcement was a bit premature due to the resurgence of interest from a younger audience and the success of their 2010 CD, Sting in the Tail.
One of my few regrets in life was never getting to see Frank DiMino and his ’70s hard rock band Angel play live with their extravagant costumes and visual illusions. I was just a few years shy of being able to see them in their heyday of the mid to late ’70s.
