During the PRS press conference at this year’s NAMM show, the company brought along about 30 or so of their biggest name endorsees, including the likes of Brad Whitford, Ricky Skaggs, Warren Haynes, Orianthi and many more. Among the stars that were there to show off the new PRS guitars and amps was 311 guitarist Tim Mahoney, whose SE model guitar was on display in the company’s showroom.
A revolutionary guitarist, whose pedalboard is the size of some small countries, Mahoney has always been known as much for his unique and solid tone as he is his innovative riffs and licks. His SE model reflects the originality in his playing, and its color is very impressive, and that’s saying something coming from PRS, whose finish and colors are some of the best in the business.

I happen to own one of the Tim Mahoney guitars, and I,ll tell you, their not bad! I’ve played Gibson s my whole life ,and fenders but I really like the feel and the action this axe brings to the table. The price was right considering, I have roughly 20 guitars in my arsenal including a Dane Electro, and a Ephiphone DOT,and les paul,s and telecasters, but my new passion is for the PRS. It is a sweet Instrument!
