Peerless Guitars News and Photos: NAMM Show 2011

We caught jazz guitarist, Scott Detweiler, at the Peerless Guitars booth and being jazz lover and player, I wanted to check out the guitars and to ask Scott about the his jazz box of choice. Scott’s a consultant and endorsee of the company, providing Peerless with feedback on the guitars’ construction, tone and playability. He’s also the first American endorsee for Peerless guitars and the first endorsee in the history of the company. We’re also looking forward to hearing Scott’s next CD called Big Scott that is scheduled for release in February 2011.

“The reason I like to play Peerless Guitars is because they look, feel and play like guitars probably five or ten times the price. And I probably couldn’t play really expensive guitars, even if I could, because I wouldn’t want to take it out of the house.

The guitars are really well made. I do about 70 or 80 shows a year and they definitely hold up. I have seven Peerless guitars and the Revolver is the new one this year. The one that I pick up the most is the Renaissance, and the reason why is because it’s a very light guitar. In fact, I have my own here, and it’s the best guitar when you get on airplanes, because you can hang it in the closet, and it’s the one I get the most use out of.”
